Jillian’s therapy modalities are evidence based and her therapeutic approach is tailored to the individual or couples presenting issue to best meet their identified needs and goals. Jillian believes in valuing the unique experience and diversity of each individual and couple, and avoids a one size fits all approach to therapy. She brings an honest approach that challenges each person in a gentle and non-judgmental way with the goal of creating a space that maximizes comfort, self-exploration, and genuine engagement.

Jillian's therapeutic approaches include Integrative Relationship Therapy (IRT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused, Trauma informed and Narrative Therapies. Jillian is currently working on her certification in Gottman Method Couples therapy and Sex Therapy, and implements aspects of the Gottman approach when working with couples. The Gottman Method is a research-based approach to couples therapy that includes a thorough assessment of the couple’s relationship, and integrates research-based interventions with the goal of disarming conflicting verbal communication, increasing intimacy, respect, and affection, and creating a heightened sense of empathy and understanding. Jillian believes that relationships excel when there is mutual respect and understanding of each other as individuals, and a foundation created that allows both people to be the best versions of themselves. She also values an approach to couples therapy that is not just about working on the relationship, but also about working with both people as individuals, and supporting them through inevitable relationship growth and change.

Jillian is a Mom of three and enjoys spending time with her children and friends, live music, and running. Jillian is passionate about social work, helping people live each day with genuine happiness, and is committed to continued learning and education in this field.
